VENICE, CALIFORNIA – – June 2004 – PictureArts currently manages four stock photography brands. The goal is to expand that to two to three times in the next year.
With that said, Imagistic was brought on board to work with the team at PictureArts to design, architect and develop a highly sophisticated portal that will allow users to search for and purchase images across multiple brands with ease and efficiency.
"This is no simple task," says Michael Weiss, CEO for Imagistic. "We looked at every single stock photography site on the web and our client kept saying 'We can do it better!'" The project is set to launch by October of 2004.
About PictureArts
PictureArts' roots can be traced back 20 years, all the way to the beginning of Burke/Triolo Productions. In 1984, photographer Jeffrey Burke and his wife, stylist Lorraine Triolo started the now nationally renowned photography company in Los Angeles, California.
Ten years later, they launched their first stock photo collection, FoodPix-which has become the undisputed leader in the rights-managed food and beverage stock category. In 2000, Jeff and Lorraine changed the company's name to PictureArts, and gave themselves a new mission: to build an outstanding, independent stock photo agency.
