VENICE, CALIFORNIA - December 13, 2002 - Angel Records announced the launch of its redesigned Web site featuring a completely new design, features and functionality.
Developed by Internet software and services firm Imagistic, the new site is based on a Web log analysis and site performance review and showcases the depth of repertoire from Angel Records, EMI Classics, Virgin Classics and Manhattan Records.
The new design highlights offerings in four main genres of music: Instrumental, Contemporary, Orchestral & Opera-Vocal. Improved features and functions include:
- Fully searchable database of Angel Records' entire catalog accessible directly from the Home page
- Promotion engine that pushes recommendations of titles to users and provides additional accessibility to the catalog
- Data gathering mechanisms through registration and cookies that allow Angel Records to better understand consumer behavior online
Imagistic's next steps will be to continue reviewing the success of the redesign against set traffic and performance benchmarks and improve the site based on the data review and analysis.
