Beginning in January, Imagistic spearheaded the migration of the Natural Resource Governance Institute website to a new server. "In most circumstances this would have been straight-forward," said Kevin Howard Goldberg, president of Imagistic. "However, the NRGI website was actually a blend of static HTML, Drupal 6, Drupal 7 and WordPress in a single user experience."
The Imagistic team broke down the website methodically and addressed each migration separately; isolating code, files and databases. As well, each content management system was upgraded to its most current release to address bug fixes and security patches. Completing the full migration and DNS changes in late March, the entire project came in on-time and under budget.
About the Natural Resource Governance Institute
The Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) helps people to realize the benefits of their countries’ endowments of oil, gas and minerals. We do this through technical advice, advocacy, applied research, policy analysis, and capacity development. We work with innovative agents of change within government ministries, civil society, the media, legislatures, the private sector, and international institutions to promote accountable and effective governance in the extractive industries.
